Jennifer Hudson: Weight Loss Memoir in the Works!

Jennifer Hudson brings her adorable son, David, onstage with her during rehearsals for her performance on CBS’ The Early Show on Tuesday (June 14) in New York City.

The 29-year-old entertainer is set to write a weight loss memoir through Penguin Group’s Dutton imprint.

Jennifer has lost 80 pounds since beginning Weight Watchers and “wants to inspire anyone coping with weight issues, share some of her own best tips for losing and maintaining weight loss, fitting in exercise and keeping it fun,” Dutton told Reuters.

Jennifer Hudson: 'The View' with David Jr!

Jennifer Hudson makes an appearance on The View with her adorable 1-year-old son David Otunga Jr. on Tuesday (March 22) in NYC.

The night before, the 29-year-old singer and actress celebrated the release of her new album, I Remember Me, at Tenjune.

“Ms. Iron Pipes finally sounds like she’s having some fun. Where 2008’s Jennifer Hudson was bogged down with serious, self-assuring ballads, here she aims for a lighter vibe, flexing her newfound confidence on ‘I Got This,’” EW says about the new album.

Check out this new portrait of Jennifer Hudson and her 7-week-old son David Otunga Jr. – named after her fiance.
“I love being nurturing and caring because I love to see other people happy,” the 28-year-old songstress tells People. “Who better to devote my time to than my own child?”
When asked if it was hard to keep her pregnancy under wraps, Jennifer shared, “David and I were the only people who knew for a long time. I would forget I was pregnant, it was so easy. I didn’t have any morning sickness, no cravings either. I just thought, ‘Oh, well, we’ll wait until it’ll tell on itself.’ I didn’t show until I was seven months so that made it easy right there.”

It’s a son for Jennifer Hudson!
The 27-year-old Oscar winner her and fiance, reality TV star David Otunga, welcomed son David Daniel Otunga, Jr. on Monday (August 10). THR reports the baby weighed 7 lbs., 14 oz., and was named after his father and her fiancee.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
Of note: Jennifer never announced her pregnancy, mostly because of the brutal murders of her mother, brother and nephew.

Jennifer Hudson’s Baby Shower Confirms Pregnancy

A baby shower was thrown for Jennifer Hudson on Saturday (May 30) at a relative’s home in downtown Chicago, reports Chicago Tribune.
Jennifer’s singer/actress pal Felicia Fields, reveals, “It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family. They’re really trying to keep it kind of quiet. It was a nice time that we had. They don’t know [the gender]. More yellow.”
Also in town was her fiance, former reality TV star David Otunga, who’s currently pursuing a pro wrestling career.

“Thank you all for your prayers and your calls. Please keep praying for our family and that we get [my nephew] Julian King back home safely. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately. Here is a picture of Julian and what he was last seen wearing. Once again thank you all for being there for us through this tough time.”
Jennifer’s mother, Darnell Donerson, and her older brother, Jason Hudson, were fatally shot in Chicago on Friday afternoon.

The mother and brother of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson were reportedly found dead in Chicago around 3PM Friday.
The two adults were found fatally shot — Darnell, 57, and older brother Jason. The bodies were discovered by a cousin who lived nearby. Jennifer is currently en route to Chicago.
Hudson, 27, became famous after appearing on American Idol in 2004. She later went on to pick up an Oscar for her performance in Dreamgirls.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Hudson’s family and friends.
